HOW DID IT ALL START?
I never really ever thought that I would become a poet. I never really liked poetry. In September of 1996, the time came when I embarked on what seemed to be my never-ending poetry writing. Jesus gives me all the words, I just write them down! Poetry is a gift that the Lord Jesus has given to me. There may come a time when I stop. I encourage you all to ask Him for new gifts such as this, speaking in tongues, prophecy, healing, and more. You can read about these gifts in I Corinthians 12: verses 1-11.
About my belief in God: I have been a Christian since I was 6 or 7 years old. When I was younger I kept asking my mom questions about God and one day she asked me if I would like Jesus to come into my heart and I said yes. My mom lead me to the Lord right then. I have definitely grown in the Lord and I am currently learning how to listen to the Holy Spirit lead me. God is continually creating me into the woman He has created me to be. I know that God has had a plan for my life from even before I was born. The Bible says in Psalm 139:13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,I know that full well." He has a plan for you, even if you do not know what it is. He may choose to reveal it to you a little bit at a time. God loves you! I encourage you to let Him into your life! It is the best decision you can make. I do not know where I would be in my life right now if it wasn’t for letting Jesus be first in my life. Will you make Jesus first in your life? It is one choice that you will never regret making! He loves you and is waiting for you with His arm of love open wide!
I invite you to say this prayer if you want Jesus to be Lord of your life: "Dear God, I am sorry for my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for all my sins and rose again. I want You to come into my heart right now and guide me in every area of my life.I gives You all my hopes and plans now for I know that You Lord are in control of my life now. Thank you for coming into my heart! Amen".
If you said that prayer and you really meant it, I encourage you to get a Holy Bible and start reading it, I recommend begin with the four Gospels -Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and then read a Psalm or a few Psalms. Also, I encourage you to find a church in you area! Don't be afraid to share your new life in Christ with your friends.
